Painting

Post  blooperoo on Sun Jun 12, 2011 11:11 am

GL was hit from behind yesterday. Ginawa akong preno. Bumper was damaged a bit saka yung plate number natiklop. Baka dahil dito pwede nila palitan. Ang isa ko pang worry, NGO is not known for their painting work. Meron kasi kaming Sentra dati na di nila nakuha ang kulay and 2 year old car pa lang sya. Will know tomorrow kung papalitan o hindi.

@blooperoo:

sir may formula ang Nissan to get the right mix for the paint. I cannot comment whether their personnel can make the correct mix. When I had my GL skirts installed, I saw how the casa painter mixed several colors to come up with steel gray. The mixing requires some skills.

This is just a simple repair which would take 2 days or more to complete. Anyway the GL has been around 3 years and the body repair shops would have more experience in mixing colors which will be an exact match or better has straight colors already prepared since steel gray is a very popular color. Just inform your body repair advisor to ensure that the repair is seamless and don't agree to release the vehicle if it is not acceptable to you.

I hope you can get this repaired and repainted in NGO soon. If not, I can recommend several paint shops in QC who paint well (and have won carshow awards in bast paint category).
